Why I Wrote Constant Vigilance

I wrote this book in the hope that the reader would begin to ask questions.  The book is fiction but, it talks about some terrible things that governments have done.  I hoped that the reader would wonder if such things could happen and begin to research for themselves.  Maybe they would search the internet and fact check the book.  The reader could find the truth out for themselves.

The title to the book is not a mistake.  Citizens have to guard against the slow erosion of personal liberties.  It is possible that one day we all will wake up and the world will have changed and we will have had all of our freedoms taken away.  What is much more likely is that our freedoms will be chipped away, piece by piece with most of us never really noticing until it is too late.
