The easy part is writing the book. The hard part is selling it. I have been reading and studying the process of selling a book for longer than it took to write Constant Vigilance. There is advise everywhere. The internet is full of articles and videos on how to market a book. I have become convinced that I need a genre to pigeon hole Constant Vigilance. Constant Vigilance is a work of fiction. In thinking about the book, it is certainly philosophic. There is a political component and history and science are well represented.
There is a term that I do not believe has been elevated to the status of a book Genre that I would like to use. It is historical revisionism. This term suggest a reinterpretation of orthodox views on evidence, motivations, and decision-making surrounding historical events. Constant Vigilance looks at history and suggest different meaning to the past events. This alternate view of past events creates a threat to the safety of the main character. Constant Vigilance is not completely within the classification of Historical Revisionism, but it is close enough.
